Internal components maintenance focuses on trays, packing, downcomers, distributors, support grids, and demisters, including replacement techniques. Mechanical maintenance practices include bolting, gasket replacement, alignment, leveling, and use of hand and power tools. Inspection and testing cover visual inspection, thickness measurement, leak testing, and documentation. Corrosion and damage control includes understanding corrosion mechanisms, erosion and fouling issues, damage assessment, and preventive maintenance. Safety and permit systems cover confined space entry, work at height safety, hot work permits, and gas testing awareness.
