Big opportunities tomorrow.
This hands-on program trains technicians in electrical installation, motor wiring, panel assembly, and troubleshooting skills required for industrial electrical systems maintenance and construction projects.
The Electrical Fitter Program trains participants in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It introduces basic electrical concepts, AC/DC fundamentals, the role of an electrical fitter, and safety awareness. Tools and materials include electrical tools, cables, wires, conduits, accessories, and material identification. Wiring and installation practices cover single and three-phase wiring, cable laying and termination, earthing practices, and color coding. Electrical panels and components include switchgear basics, MCB, MCCB, relays, panel wiring, and panel safety. Testing and commissioning include continuity testing, insulation resistance, polarity checks, and functional testing. Maintenance and fault finding cover common electrical faults, troubleshooting methods, preventive maintenance, and repair practices. Safety and regulations include electrical safety rules, lockout-tagout, PPE requirements, and permit systems. Standards and documentation include IS and IEC standards, drawings, schematics, work records, and compliance checks. Field practices and case studies provide site installation examples, common mistakes, best practices, skill enhancement, real project examples, and lessons learned.
The module highlights how thoughtful planning can directly improve project quality, reduce accidents, and help projects finish on time and within budget.
