Course Description

This hands-on program trains technicians in high-pressure water jetting equipment operation, surface cleaning techniques, and safety procedures for industrial cleaning and surface preparation applications.

What you'll learn in this Course?

The Hydro Blaster Program trains operators in high-pressure hydro blasting for industrial cleaning and maintenance. It introduces hydro blasting principles, applications, benefits, equipment overview, and safety awareness. Hydro blasting equipment includes pumps, hoses, nozzles, accessories, and pressure ratings. Work planning and setup cover job site preparation, barricading, signage, pressure selection, and risk assessment. Operational techniques include surface cleaning methods, angle and distance control, pressure control, and operational discipline. Safety controls and PPE cover high-pressure hazards, PPE requirements, body positioning, and emergency stop procedures. Confined space hydro blasting includes permit requirements, ventilation considerations, communication protocols, and emergency response. Waste and water management covers effluent handling, environmental controls, containment systems, and disposal requirements. Equipment maintenance includes daily inspections, hose replacement, nozzle care, and preventive maintenance. Incident prevention and response cover common incidents, emergency actions, reporting procedures, and corrective measures. Documentation and reporting include job checklists, pressure logs, inspection records, and handover notes.

The module highlights how thoughtful planning can directly improve project quality, reduce accidents, and help projects finish on time and within budget.
